OFNA Racing - Vinyl Stickers

Follow these instructions to apply our die-cut vinyl stickers. If properly applied your vinyl sticker should last for years.

Step One
For best results OFNA vinyl stickers should be applied to clean smooth surfaces free of any traces of fuel, oil, grease, wax and silicon. Prior to the application of the vinyl the target surface should be cleaned with a degreaser, rinsed and wiped dry with a dust free cloth. Sufficient time should be allowed for the degreaser to evaporate completely after cleaning. Residue may alter the target surface or reduce the adhesion properties of the vinyl film. Application should not take place at temperatures below +10°C (+50°F).
Your sticker or mask will come in 3 layers-
* silicone backing paper: waxy white paper with printed text, removed first
* actual vinyl sticker: in the middle, will remain on surface
* application tape: looks like masking tape, used to apply vinyl sticker

Step Two
Remove the silicone backing paper from the vinyl sticker. You should be left with the application tape holding your sticker.

Step Three
Position the vinyl sticker on the target surface, laying the center down first. Press sticker down, with sweeping motions from the center outward to edges. Try to avoid air pockets.

Step Four
Wipe the vinyl firmly down in wide sweeps. It is important the vinyl sticker is pressed firmly to the surface before attempting to peel away the application tape.

Step Five
Remove the application tape by carefully peeling it back at a 180° angle to the surface. Go slow, make sure any small pieces get transferred by holding the corners of the sticker pieces down as you peel the transfer tape back. An exacto/hobby knife or pointed tip helps with this process.

Step Six
After application tape is removed any small bubbles can be 'popped' with an exacto/hobby knife tip.

Advanced Tips For Large Stickers
**Wet Application Tip: You can use an application fluid in case you need to reposition the sticker while applying. To make the solution add a couple drops of dishsoap in a squirt bottle, and fill with water. Spray this solution onto the surface just prior to application of vinyl sticker to surface. Just moisten surface, not dripping.
Using the fluid, you are able to pick the sticker back up off the surface and reposition if necessary.
You will need some type of rigid plastic squeege for this process, a credit card or something similar. You will need to squeege as much fluid from under the sticker as possible before attempting to remove the application tape.
To ensure easy removal of application tape you can let the sticker dry for 10 - 15 minutes.

***Another tip: After letting the sticker dry, spray the outside with the application fluid again, and then remove the tape.
