The New X1CR Factory
Team wins again 20 Feb 2006
Telford Hottrax hosted the latest round of the UK
midlands winter championships and there was an 80+ turn out
including some well known national drivers. Jon Hazlewood (Xray)
fresh from his pole start in Holland, Steve Haynes (Ho Bao),
John Howells (GS) Adam Skelding (Hot Bodies) and Jamie Booth
(Hong Nor).
During the 15 minute A main a ding dong battle developed between
the Xray of Jon Hazlewood and the X1CR pro UK factory team car
of Jamie Booth, the lead swapped several times but ultimately
the X1CR FT was the better handling car and in the end took
a convincing win from the other pro factory drivers.
1st Jamie Booth (X1CR Pro UK Factory team)
2nd John Howells (GS CL-1)
3rd Jon Hazlewood (Xray)
4th Steve Haynes (Hyper 8)

Unbeatable Indoors!
05 January 2006
The fourth year in a row, Adam Drake and his Jammin
Products 1/8th buggy take top honors at the Columbus R/C Racing
Club's big annual indoor Nitro Championships. <br>
Adam was the favorite due to his current win streak and being
the defending champ of this event. It was his race to loose.
When the nitro fumes from qualifying settled, it was Adam and
his X1-CR "Factory Team Edition" with the Top Qualifier
honors. More of the same in the "A" Main Final as
Adam takes the championship again. |

Jammin X1CRT Beats
The Best At Maxbashing 05 October
2005
The new OFNA/Jammin
X1CRT Truggy stormed to victory at the final round of the
Maxbashing championship held near Guilford in southern England.
The Maxbashing Race Track
lives up to its name, being very tough on cars, but huge fun
to drive with its aptly called “Mountain” Jump.
In its first appearance at a UK track, the Jammin X1CRT took
the TQ spot for the A main event driven by HN racing driver
Jamie Booth. The 20 minute A main final saw the X1CRT take a
comfortable victory by some 4 laps over the nearest competitor.
The X1CRT was fitted with OFNA brick
pin tires and ran an OS .21 V spec engine fitted with the
race proven PCR 2027
EFRA tuned exhaust system. The truggy was used straight
out of the box with no modifications and during the heavy, competitive
racing no damage or breakages occurred. There is no tougher
test of a machine in the UK than the Maxbashing track, and the
Jammin
X1CRT passed with quite literally ‘flying’ colors.

OFNA Shifts Team
Focus For The Future 14 September
2005
"OFNA has made some changes to the OFNA Professional
Team and our focus on the Racing World.
Greg Dagani will now run under the newly created Hobao International
Racing Team, which will include many top racers from around
the world, and will compete in many top International Races
such as the Worlds.
OFNA will still maintain a Race Team in the United States. The
U.S. Team will concentrate solely on the domestic U.S. market,
travelling to places where true grassroots racing still takes
place, bringing it back to the people who made us who we are."

X1CR jams the radar
at the XRay Off Road Championships! 23
May 2005
Another European Win during the third round
of the Radio Race Car (UK magazine) Xray 1/8th off road championship
held
at
Aldridge near Birmingham in England. There were around 100
drivers taking part in the third round of this popular series.
Qualifying took place in mixed conditions as there were many
rain showers during the day causing the grass track to become
greasy and very tricky. Jamie Booth driving the X1CR pro
UK was the class of the field in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of
qualifying
winning both rounds quite comfortably and showing that the
X1CR would
be tough to beat in the A main event. The X1CR was
handling the tricky conditions without any difficulty. In the
early stages of the A Main event there was a very close battle
between Ryan Donovan (Xray factory driver) and Jamie Booth
(HN racing X1CR driver)
but over the course of the final the O.S. powered HN racing X1CR PRO
UK overhauled the RB powered Xray of Ryan to take a comfortable
victory at the end.
The winning
car featured
the latest PCR Efra 2027 exhaust system (#19788 or #19789), O.S.
RZ-B V spec engine and Sanwa radio equipment.
The X1CR was box standard apart from X1S-19 SPL arm shafts!!

OFNA Stays On Top
Down Under! 1
May 2005
With so many huge wins here in the States
you knew we would take our skills abroad and
start mopping up the competition.
The Top Gun Race at the Penrith Track
in Sydney Australia was the scene for one of our
hottest wins yet. The OFNA/Hongnor team
consisting of Joseph Patane(manager/mechanic) ,Phillip
Woodbury(driver), Mat Russel(driver), Johnathon
Frued(driver) and David Patane(refueler), scored
some impressive wins with the OFNA CD3. Phil Woodbury
TQ'ed with a 18.6 sec lap but bettered that time
with
a 17.6
sec lap, and went on to win with an AMAZING 56
LAPS OVER THE NEAREST COMPETITOR!! Oh, and did
we mention it was raining?
In the 2.4 Le Mans race Phil Woodbury is leading the pack and
broke the track lap record of 14.00sec with a smokin' 13.6
sec!!
This should dispel any doubts that the OFNA/Hongnor Team equipped
with the OFNA CD3 can handle the toughest competitors and the
most adverse
conditions.
Way to go guys!

Race Results From
2004 World Championships 2-8
August 2004
The 2004 World Championship in Fururing,
Sweden is now just a memory, and we are proud
of all the great
hardwork and exciting racing our teams provided. Much thanks to everyone involved.
2004 World's Summary:
OFNA/HoBao was off to an amazing start, with Yannick Aigoin
(sponsored by T2M in France) showing
true skill with his weapon of
choice: the Hyper 7 C-Hub Pro (also known as the Pirate RS distributed
by T2M in France only). Yannick expertly
piloted his r/c
into
the #1 Top Qualifying-TQ
spot,
hands down
"The Fastest Car at the Worlds". From there he continued on to win the "A Semi-Final" by
a 30 second lead over
the rest of the pack (one full lap in a 20 minute race).
Then we experienced an unfortunate bit of luck. After having his fuel tank checked
4 times previously with no
issues, officials checking his Hyper for the 5th time decided the tank was suddenly
1cc over, although no
equipment had been changed on Yannick's car. Yannick (T2M, France) was
disqualified from racing
the Main Event.
While we always respect IFMAR's rules and important officiating decisions, we
believe there must be a greater
consistency applied to the techniques involved in measurement in future races.
These races are too important
to be lost over small discrepancies in measuring equipment or techniques, and
had Yannick (T2M, France) not been
disqualified over this questionable issue, he could very well have gone on to
be the World's Champ. That being
said, we believe Yannick Aigoin (T2M, France) proved he
was the better and faster driver at the Worlds, and the Hyper model is World-Class,
Top-Shelf hardware.
The rest of our team members had respectable showings, and we encourage you to peruse the race results to see
where our other drivers placed. Go to http://www.frck.org
Better luck in 2006! See you then! |

OFNA Displays The
Goods at RCX 23-25
Apr 2004
RCX 2004 was a major success!
We wish to extend
our thanks for everyone who stopped by and all the great
people involved in the event. This year's RCX drew huge crowds,
who were thrilled by displays from every major manufacturer.
From
the air, land and sea the R/C's just kept coming. If that wasn't
enough, killer robots engaged in mortal combat produced clangs
and bangs that resonated throughout the entire show.
If you weren't there, make sure you don't miss it next year!
Check out the RCX website for more coverage.

Major European Win 1
Feb 2004
This event
is one of the major touring car races for the year
in Taiwan as it is the first race
meeting after Chinese New Year. Race teams come
from all over Taiwan to run this prestigious
event. Some drivers even came from the south of
Taiwan 250Km away. The event attracted over 80 drivers and pit
crew with all the major race teams from Serpent
710/715, Mugen MTX3, Team
Magic G4, HPI R40 and Associated TC3 were represented.
The Silver Stone Racing Track was rebuilt before Chinese New
Year with a very smooth surface yet high traction. The high
traction surface made most cars traction roll thru the corners
so set-up and having the right car was very important. There
were many car failures from our competitors with many cars
breaking
parts
but I am so happy to say that after 40
minute of racing in the A main final, our cars were very strong
and nothing went wrong for us.
Our Team leader Jeffery received TQ again and came first. Our
manager Mr.Yeh received second place. And our new staff member
Mr.Tommy came third with our LD3. I suppose you could say it
was a one sided race as we created a new record in Taiwan with
the LD3 receiving TQ, First, Second
and Third place all in the one event with same cars. We are
proud of this winning day.
