Chad takes the win at Hot Rods - 4/13/10
Reported by Chad Bradley - 4/13/10 - Hot Rod Hobbies: Chad Bradley TQ's and wins the Tuesday night nationals at Hot Rod Hobbies in the 1/8 Buggy Class! The competition is getting tougher and tougher every week with Steven Bess, DJ Silva, Matt Chambers and Travis Erkeneff all driving really fast.  Chad TQ,ed both rounds of qualifying with his Jammin X2 Buggy and Steven Bess qualifying second.  Bess usually doesn't have to pit in the 10min main events and since he's been on pace this is having Chad to make some adjustments with his driving to be able to do the main event run without a pit as well.  Chad lead every lap of the main, Bess was able to stay within 5-10 seconds of the leader.  Chad put in a flawless 10min run (every lap was within 1/2 second) and not pit as well to take home another Hot Rod Tuesday Night win! Chad says his Jammin X2 has been working amazing all year, its been real easy to drive and fast!

Georgia Championship Series-round 2

Reported by DJ Sandate - On the East Coast side of racing the OFNA cars are proving to be the serious competitor in Open SCT as the Jammin SCRT-10 took 1st by Gene Snipes, a Hyper 10sc takes 2nd by Joseph Sessum and the 3rd place was wrapped up by another SCRT-10 driven by Zack Rudolph, you can see OFNA is the choice of brand to race in the Open SCT class, the series lead is being held by Mr. Gene Snipes going into the 3rd round and will continue to push for the top spot and the overall championship win, but there's still a long way to go, so keep up the pace Gene your doing a great job.

Short Course Pro4 racing at West Coast Raceway - 4/10/10

Reported by DJ Sandate - Short Course racing took place at another great indoor facility West Coast Raceway, with a new layout & good traction the Pro4 class would have a great battle in quals & in the main.  The battle between the two OFNA cars would see some good door to door action, Jon Anderson driving the Jammin SCRT-10 and Dj in the Hyper10sc would make the push for top qualifier as their pace keep them 1&2 as Jon would keep the TQ spot & Dj holding down the P-2 spot for the main.  As traction rolling was the key towards keeping the car on all fours & the bite on the track was getting high, the two top spots would need to work together to get away from the rest of the field, but at the start of the race into the first turn would be a nice front and rear tap for the first three spots as Jesse R. would go from third to first into the next three turns before Jon would take the lead only to give it up to Dj from a bobble.  Jon would charge hard to make the distance up on Dj but only to get close & then bobble again from the tacky track, the Hyper car would continue to pull away from everyone for the win with Jon taking the 2nd spot & Jesse R grabbing the 3rd spot.

Nelson gave it all, but came up short, sorry!
Took my OFNA Hyper 9 Pro 2.0 down the coast to Spring Sting at Badlands RC Supercross track in the vacation capital of SC, Myrtle Beach.  With spring break in full swing, the beach was packed with vacationers.  The Badlands crew had a great layout and the weather was great, sunny and 70 degrees.  The race had 75 entries from SC, NC, GA and some drivers from Ohio.  The Pro buggy class had the largest turnout with a lot of companies drivers present: Associated Brandon Melton and Chris Pace, Losi’s local favorite Travis Dupree, Kevin Bullock from Xray and, of course,Yall with OFNA/HoBao.  In Fridays practice the track was already grooving up and tire choice and wear became a concern.  Some drivers liked small pin tires, Proline’s Holeshots, Jconcept’s Sevens and AKA’s Gridirons but other drivers found speed and life out of larger pin tires like, Proline’s Bowties, Jconcept’s Crossbows and AKA’s I-Beams.  With the  A main being 30 minutes, tire choice could be critical.  On Saturday we ran three qualifiers using Qual points best 2 out of 3 rounds and then the Mains.  TQ in Pro Buggy went to local favorite Travis Dupree with Losi.  I qualified 12th with 10 cars in the A main.  I found myself sitting second on the grid for the B main.  The B Main was 15 min. and I ran in the top 3 the whole race with a great battle between Barry Petite from Mugen and myself, Barry chose small pin tires and I went with bigger pin tires and on the next to the last lap Barry found himself on “bald tires” and making mistakes while I still had tread left, I finished second and bumped into the A main.  At the start of the A main somebody’s car flamed at the front of the grid and that made a huge pile up, but I got through and ran as high up as 3rd but got into trouble with lap traffic and fell back a couple of spots and ran there most of the race.  I had a great battle with Tim Smith, who runs the Phil Hurd Raceway track in Savannah GA, on the last lap coming up short on the last rhythm section costing me a position by twelve one hundredths of a second.  I finished seventh after it was all said and done.  I really enjoyed the race and would like to thank all the people that make it possible: OFNA & HoBao
GLOVER & PETERSON TAKE NITRO WINS AT OVAL THUNDER

Reported by DJ Sandate - LA Thunder Hobbies & Raceways held its third race of the season on the new 231’ smooth, banked, red clay oval. The red clay grooved up quickly and allowed the foam tires to have great traction, which made for some really quick lap times.  There were drivers from three states represented in the five classes of racing.

1/8 Nitro Late model class saw Pete Peterson take first place with his OFNA GTPII Dirt oval chassis. 1/8th Nitro Sprint class was won by Donnie Glover with an OFNA Hyper Sprint.

Hyper 10sc wins at OCRC - 4/9/10

Reported by DJ Sandate - 4/9/10 - OCRC: Another win for Hyper 10sc and Craig (Cuda) Hammond in the Pro 4WD at OCRC.   In hunting fashion as he worked his way from the 3rd position in the main.  He was into a pace that shook the leader Nick Vivas in the Jammin SCRT-10, as the pace was too much for the P-1 guy that caused him to have a crash with laps winding down that gave up the lead to Cuda.  Barney/Hulk stunned himself to capture the win, hearing him saying in the Barney voice " I love SC 4wd, and I love you Nick."

Wednesday night whoopin at OCRC Raceway by Kortz 4/7/10

4/6/10 - OCRC: OFNA pilot Jeremy Kortz made some free time to drive down So Cal for OCRC racing action with his Hyper 10sc and the Hyper 9e.  With 11 heats and close to 100 entries it would be a long night as Kortz showing that his Hyper 10sc with AKA rubber was the fastest on the track for the 4wd pro class, with a TQ of 13/5:02 just missing the 14 lap run and also taking the win in strong fashion.  And it was also Kortz taking the win with the Hyper 9e, starting in the P-2 spot behind Robert Black also driving the Hyper 9e.  The battle between RB and Kortz was the show for the first half of the 8 minute race as Kortz was pacing with Black around the track and trying to pull away from the rest of the field.  But at the halfway mark Robert started to have a mechanical problem that caused him to lose the lead to Kortz which striking distance was only less than a car length away, Kortz took full charge from there as he eased his way from the rest of the pack.  No challenges were made on Kortz as he took the 2nd win for the night giving him the double tap and a TQ. Kortz told me "My Hypers struck like a Viper!"

Hyper 10sc wins at Revelation Raceway - 4/3/10

So in quest for a track that was a different feel for racing short course we headed over to Revelation Raceway for our Hyper 10sc and Jammin SCRT10 SC trucks to compete on a large and demanding track, with a big line-drive double, a landmine section, high speed banked sweeper, double step-up table-top,long 160' straight and a huge 30' triple we got more than we can handle. Losi Series race #2 was also on that day which turned out to be more than 100 entries for the day as we raced from the day into the night with dark clouds overhead for a shot of rain but none came. 5minute quals. and a 8minute main for the SC trucks, Jon Anderson in the SCRT-10 had the TQ spot with Paul Freyer starting 2nd with the Hyper and Louie Fernandez 3rd also with a Hyper. As the single file start got underway into the first turn the option of running the second lane into the first jump scattered the trucks as the broke away only to pile back together coming out of turn 3 for the dash for the lead, Anderson had the lead for most of the race and DJ coming from the #6 position was making a charge for the leader. But the track was taking it toll on the trucks as Anderson made a mistake for DJ to grab the lead and Louie Fernandez advancing also to the #2 spot charging for the lead as Anderson fell back to 3rd, but in the end DJ wins the 8min. race  and #2 Louie and #3 Jon finished for the podium spots. Tough track with outstanding results of durability from both OFNA trucks no suspension failures during the race, some tried for the big triple but were unable the stick the landing but kept on going nice try Jon, Paul and DJ better luck next time.

Jammin SCRT-10 takes another at Westcoast RC Raceway - 3/31/10
3/31/10 - WCRC: This is your 11 o'clock report from WCRC Raceway, we more on the Pro 4wd race. Jimmy Wright from Track Star Services driving the Jammin SCRT-10 takes the TQ with a 13/5:13 qualifier and Jake Partridge takes the win also with SCRT-10. It was a sure handed win for Jimmy Wright as he drove away from the rest of the field in the 7 min. main but it may have been his battery that didn't have enough to make the final lap, the race was really for 2nd as Jesse R, Nick Vivas and Jake Partridge were battling it out over and over changing positions left and right but the first casualty was Jesse as his car suffered a problem that left the racing between Nick and Jake while Jimmy was looking for the victory, too bad it wasn't a 5 min. race, so when Jimmy's car stalled the 2nd and 3rd place runners were closing for the pass and the lead over Jimmy. Nick had the lead and made a minor mistake with Jake on his bumper  to overtake the lead and the win.

Good fought battle guys but make sure you can go 7min. as Jake surely had the juice to win.

Drew wins with his Hyper 10sc at OCRC - 3/31/10
3/31/10 - OCRC: This just in, Pro4 has been completed and Hyper Sc takes the TQ and the win by Drew Moller, with only having the SC for just about a week Drew and master pit man/Father Mike  is showing what the Hyper 10SC is capable of, driving on the new AKA Wishbone SC tires. The combo is putting on lap on the rest of the field, with a 13/5:09 sec. qualifing TQ run in the first round the race would even be faster and just missing the 14 lap run during the race.

Good job Drew (age 13), looking foward in seeing more victories

Grass Roots Series #2 at Hemet - 3/20/10

It was the Grass Roots Series #2 at Hemet RC and 4wd SC was making another strong showing for the series as the podium was filled with OFNA Sc trucks,as the qualifying was fast and fierce and the track was very technical with rhythm doubles a deep washboard section and a massive big air double that made SC trucks a challenge to get over, you had to make the least mistakes to get on top of the board. At the end of qualifiers DJ stood on top for the A-main with the Hyper 10SC  with Jon Anderson in the Jammin SCRT10 right behind with the fastest lap in the qualifier, as the A-main got underway with a full ten car race DJ and Jon managed to to get away from the rest of the field, DJ however made a few more mistakes than Jon in the race and continued to pull away from the 2nd place driver for the win, 3rd place went to Mitchell Taylor he was also driving the Jammin SCRT10, good work guys and hope to here from you at Grass Roots #3 at Thunder Alley.

Chad? or Kortz? , but I know OFNA won JBRL 3/28/10
3/28/10 - JBRL Electric Series round 1 at West Coast R/C in Southern California.  Chad Bradley with his Jammin SCRT-10 TQ'ed the 4wd Unlimited Short Course Class in round 3 of qualifying, beating Jeremy Kortz's round 1 time by 1 second.  The Main event saw another classic Jeremy Kortz and Chad Bradley battle.  Chad lead for the first few laps till Jeremy took the lead from Chad, Chad went wide after landing a jump into a corner which left the door open for Jeremy to take the lead. After main failed attempts by Chad to take the lead back from Jeremy.  It wasn't until the very last lap of the 6 minute main event that Chad was able to get by Jeremy in the very same corner that Jeremy gained the lead early in the race to take the win and the lead position in points in the 7 month long series that will go from track to track around Southern California.

Jammin SCRT and Hyper 10SC show strong at the JBRL for race #1
The first big series of the year started strong for both OFNA cars, the Jimmy Babcock Racing League was at West Coast RC for race #1. A race with over 260 entries, a two day race with  3 qualifiers and mains. Ofna had a strong showing in Unlimited SC truck with 8 of the 9 cars being OFNA product, 4 Hyper 10SC's and 4 Jammin SCRT's. With an A-main and B-main the Jammin's and the Hyper's were all contenders for the big show, the capabilities of the two trucks on the track show why we are on top for 4wd SC class. Outstanding handling and good overall speed shows that our chassis will continue to be the best on the market. Race #2 will be even stronger with even more OFNA trucks ready rub doors on each other.

OFNA Chad and Ibon takes wins at Tuesday Nationals - 3/23/10
3/23/10 - Hot Rods: The Tuesday Night Nationals at Hot Rod Hobbies had over 90 entries!  Chad Bradley took the TQ and Win in the 1/8 Buggy class with the Jammin X2 buggy, Chad also was the top qualifier in the 4wd Short Course class, but it was Robert Ibon from Up-Grade taking home the win driving the Jammin SCRT-10!  1/8 Buggy qualifying was tight between Bradley's X2 and Kortz Hyper 9Pro 2.0.  Once again both were only separated by 1 second, Steven Bess rounded out the top 3 for qualifying.  In the 4wd Short Course class, Chad TQ'ed both rounds with the SCRT-10, Robert Ibon in second with the SCRT-10.

The start of the 1/8 buggy main was a close battle between Bradley and Kortz, both would tangle a few minutes into the main allowing Bess to take the lead for a short time.  Chad was able to regain the lead and never let up to the finish, Bess and Kortz were in a heated battle for second, Kortz tried doing the 10min main without a pit stop but failed to finish on fuel.  Bradley took the win with the X2, Bess in second and Silva taking the third spot.

In the 4wd Short Course Main, Chad lead off early until suffering from a malfunction which allowed second qualifier Robert Ibon to take over the lead and cruise to an easy win with the SCRT-10 on his first full race night with the truck!

OFNA's DM-1 & Joaquin Desoto Jr dominates IPANEMA GT Worlds
Mar. 19th - Ipanema GT Worlds : Homestead RC Raceway in Florida, played host to the Ipanema GT Worlds.  Qualifying saw OFNA DM-1 & Joaquin Desoto Jr dominate qualifying turning a 13 laps in 5:03, about 4 seconds ahead of 2nd place qualifier Joerg Schaedler.  Desoto, driving a Novarossi powered stock OFNA DM-1 was the only driver to turn laps in the 22 sec. range.  In the finals it was a close race between the Desoto and Schaedler, with Desoto leading the way.   Different pit strategies and tire choices made the race interesting and exciting to watch with Desoto going with harder tires for the final, making his car a little slower but very consistent in the long final.   Good pit work and smart driving allowed him to manage the gap to 2nd place without having to overheat the tires and he took the win by about a 12 seconds ahead of Schaedler in 2nd, with Mike Lyday taking the final step of the podium in 3rd.  Thank You to RedRC.net for this info!

Chad Bradley win Pro4 at 2010 Silver State
Chad Bradley and the Jammin SCRT-10 TQ's and wins the 2010 Silver State, hosted by Sin City R/C and organized by Joey "The Dirt" on a very demanding and technical 1/8 off road track, similar to the Nitro Challenge a few weeks back!  The track was very technical with very large sized jumps and a whoops section that played havoc on even the 1/8 buggies and trucks, not to mention 30-50mph winds.  Chad set the fastest time in round 1 by nearly two laps over the next fastest time.  In round 2, Jeremy Kortz was putting in a strong run, but it was the SCRT-10 that secured the top qualifying position for the main event on Sunday.

The start of the main saw Chad take an early lead with Jeremy making a mistake over the first tripple jump on the first lap.  Chad settle in a comfortable position to just drive the track instead of having to battle and concentrate on the tough layout. He also built his lead up to around 10-12 seconds over Kortz, Jeremy was never able to get close enough to contend for the win, and Chad took the convincing win and his 3rd Silver State win! Chad has been unbeatable at the national events and OFNA once again showed that they are the dominate 4wd Short Course force taking a 1-2-3 victory at the 2010 Silver State Race!

Chad wins Buggy & SCRT10 at Tuesday Nationals - 3/2/10
3/2/10, Tuesday Night Nationals at Hot Rod Hobbies with over 80 entries Chad Bradley with his Jammin X2 buggy and SCRT-10 TQed and won!  In the 1/8 buggy class Chad set the fastest time in both rounds of qualifying with Jeremy Kortz 4 seconds behind and Scott Wagner in third with an Hyper 9 2.0.   In the main event Chad pulled away from the field letting the rest of the pack battle it out for the 2nd to 4th positions, rounding out the 1/8 buggy main event was Chad Bradley winning, Jeremy Kortz in 2nd.

In the extremely popular 4wd Short Course Chad set a new track record in the class, with a time that was on par with the 1/8 buggies, Jeremy Kortz qualified 2nd with the Hyper 10SC and Jimmy Webster 3rd with the SCRT-10. In the 4wd Short Course main, it was all about the OFNA trucks all running in the top 5 spots the entire main, Chad went on winning the main with the SCRT-10, Jeremy Kortz in 2nd and Jimmy Webster in 3rd!
