Hyper 8.5 win in U.K.
Hyper 8.5 Hobao factory driver Graham Alsop took TQ and the win at the prestigious Apex GP at Slough.

Graham had a hard battle for pole position with RC8 driver Elliott Boots, but it was the Hyper 8.5 who came out on top to take the qualifying honors.

By taking TQ Graham avoided the lottery of a semi final and this was what accounted for Elliott and meant the young man from Kent was unable to take his place in the main final. Elliott was unlucky as a receiver lead pulled out and ended his challenge.

The main final saw Graham drive fast and controlled, using his power package to stretch out the fuel stops to 10 minutes which gives a big advantage at Slough due to the very slow pit lane. Graham went on to win unchallenged from David Crompton and Jon Hazelwood.

To top it off these molded Inserts will not deteriorate like regular foam donuts and are reusable.

Hyper 8.5 with driver Robert Batlle made it 3 wins from 3 rounds thereby taking his 3rd consecutive Spanish Championship title. Capital city Madrid played host this weekend to the 3rd round, the weather was fantastic with blazing sunshine and 35c. Qualifying saw Hyper 8.5 Borja Hernandez TQ, with wins in the 2nd and 4th rounds. The semis would prove decisive however, with Hernandez bowing out due to clutch problems early on. The final proved to be a three-way fight between Batlle, Richi Gomez and Daniel Vega, Batlle opened up an initial lead of 12 sec, which he kept on increasing as Vega suffered problems and Gomez, on his competitive debut for HongNor/Jammin X1-x had to settle for 2nd place a lap down. New Jammin Red Shoes and Clutch Springs
jammin Red Clutch Shoes
Keeping up with the trend of less weight within the drive train and less overall weight of the newest racing buggies and truggies, Jammin Products felt it necessary to develop a clutch that would match these power to weight characteristics. The new Jammin Red Clutch shoes are lightened to increase throttle response and are machined from a special aluminum alloy to promote long wear. The edges are beveled to reduce the mushrooming effect and the clutch shoe set includes 1.0mm springs, 1.1mm springs, and shims. OFNA Part #40926 Retail = $29.95

Hyper 9 is off it's LEASH!
Team OFNA & HoBao's Jeremy Kortz was out testing the new Hyper 9 Pro for the first time yesterday. Jeremy was flying with the new buggy, which looked really good.  Here is what he had to say after his first few hours with the buggy. "It jumps effortlessly. It feels light, and balanced. This is definitely what I have looked for. I know I'll go faster with the Hyper 9 Pro. Once I get some more time with set-up and get used to the car it will be really good.

With this great first run, the Team is planning to run the Hyper 9 Pro at the Nationals on June 4th and July 16th at the Pre-Worlds 2 in N.C.!

Hyper 8.5 & ST Dominates 2008 Nordic XRay Challenge
A fantastic weekend for Christoffer Svensson, dominating the whole race from start to finish. 2x TQ, 2x pole position and wins in both buggy and truggy was the order of the day. In the buggy main, starting as car 1 Svensson lead, was 2nd on the 2nd lap, then then grabbed the lead and drove away.

In truggy Svensson started out front but was passed by Hazlewood, they played cat and mouse for a while, but fast consistent driving and good pitstops gifted Svensson the lead on lap 16, Hazlewood had 2nd place wrapped up until lap 38 where center diff issues (melted!) forced him to retire. neobuggy.com
