Screw Turning Guide

This guide explains the terminology associated with screw settings. Turning a screw out means turning the screw with a counter-clockwise motion, turning a screw in means clockwise. Take into consideration the starting position of your screw before you begin turning it out or in.

 One Hour
Visualize a clock face on the top of your screw head. Starting from a 12 o'clock position you turn the screw as far as indicated to acheive a 1-hour turn. For additional hours extend the turn until you reach the desired figurative clock face number.

 One Half Turn
Starting from a 12 o'clock position you turn the screw until the 6 o'clock position. That is known as a half-turn out or in.

 One Full Turn
Starting from a 12 o'clock position you turn the screw all the way around until the 12 o'clock position. That is known as a full-turn out or in.
