can anyone tell me how in the heck to disasemble the shocks on my muti before i end up taking a hammer to them. I dont know if the cap is on their too tight or what.

Wrap a rag, or simmilar around the body so you dont scratch it, or not if you dont really care about a little scratch.
Grasp firmly with channel locks.
Stick a screwdriver thru the cap mounting hole and give it your best.
That's how I had to do it.
