I posted this in the force engine area, but thought I'd see if more people frequent this area.
I've got a ravager with the .28 that I JUST broke the conrod on. I don't race, it's been broken in and I've gone through about 1/2 gallon of fuel soo far.. I was driving around the yard with my kids and after a couple minutes of running I jumped it at about 3/4 throttle (didn't rev out, I was trying to keep the front end down) and about 30 feet past landing it when WHACK and coasted to a stop. The bottom end of the conrod let go and is in about 50 pieces, also dented the sleeve so I had some trouble getting that out (it's FUBAR).. I ran across some mention of an OFNA replacement engine program. Is that available? What would have caused a conrod failure? I've got a few friends with the .26 version and have never heard of a conrod letting go. Defect? |
