You will need clean air filters.
If you don't buy new ones it is advised to clean yours regularly. How long your filter will last depends upon many factors, including track dust conditions, etc.. When it looks dirty its time.
The best way I have found to clean the foam is with simple dishwashing soap such as Dawn. Use warm water and some soap, lather, squeeze, rinse & repeat until clean.
After you clean it let the foam dry completely, then re-oil with OFNA approved air filter oil.
A good way to re-oil is to use a sandwich bag, drop your foam into the bag with a few drops of oil. Rub and squeeze the foam around in the bag with the oil until your foam is completely covered. If you need more oil add a few more drops into the bag.
When done take a dry paper towel and dry off the excess oil.
You can use an additional OFNA pre-filter to ensure even better engine protection. |
