| Any suggestions on a good pipe for the sts d5r engine.I dont seem to be able to find a pipe other than the stock pipe for the CD3.The engine seems a bit down on power so i am looking at ways to coax more out of it. |

| Thanks nightmare , unfortunatly the skyline pipre are sold out. I emailed Dino at STS who advised me to use a JPL pipe which i have ordered , only cost $35usd . He also advised to gear with thw biggest 2nd gear available, because it it a torque engine not a revvy engine . This explains why the engine wasnt reving like the Italian engines . So ive geared with a 48 and 54 spur and a 22 and 28 clutch . Hope all goes well . I dont like the 6 gear split but ohwell |

My D3R is not fully broken in but I am running 22/28 pinion gears and the standard 55/49 spur gears. The power delivery is nice and smooth. It sneaks up on you. Please post your impression of the 54/48 spur gears in combination with the 22/28 pinion gears.
By contrast I am using 20/26 pinion and stock spur gears for my Picco .12 (ROAR) engine. |
