Does anyone have any wisdom to share with me on the advantages of the belt drive system as opposed to the shaft drive system? I have both choices in my cars and have not really noticed any performance gain or loss. As far as replacing and quick maintenance, the shaft drive is definitley more involved. I look to make 2 new purchases toward enhancing competiton. What would professional advice be toward belt to shaft and why?

To my understanding the belt drive is not supposed to torque stear versus the shaft drive does. That is what I heard. I recently bought a xxx-4 to put that to the test iwill let you after saturday. I want to campare it to my 1/8 buggie. Are you running on road or off road?.
