Have you nticed when charging a battery that the voltage every around 30sec it drops on the screen and then goes high again and continues charging?
I have the 3150 unit and everytime i charge a battery it will "pause" for 3-4sec every 30sec and then it continues again.
If i charge 1 cell 1.2V it will show 1.4-1.6Volts when charging and then pause every 30-40 sec dropping the volts to ~1.3 and after 3-4sec it will start again at 1.4-1.6V.

Is this a problem or it's designed to do so?

Mine does that too. It's not a problem with the charger. That's just how it peaks the batteries.

Its normal. Most higher end chargers have what is refered to as charging profiles for different types of cells...

It also shows much higher voltage than my 969.
I was charging a single cell 1.2V 1800mah last night and voltage went right up to 1.8V without the battery warming up.
This is normail too.My 969 went at max 1.5-1.6 for a single cell.

Probably the difference between one being an AC current charger, and the other is a DC charger. DC chargers will give your batteries a much better and cleaner charge...

while we are talking batteries, i have found that i have problems charging single cell (glow igniters) on my duratrax ice, I cant seem to charge them at 1C with out getting a warning about the voltage being to high for the number of cells. Is there something i'm doing wrong or what.
