Hey guys getting back into the game of R/Cing, I picked up an Ofna 9.5 Violator and the rear seems to be locking up or catching up on something, I was just trying to sort through all my goods I got tonight.

I will post a video tomorrow of what it's doing but its only the rear end the front is smooth as can be does anyone have any idea where I can start looking?

Not sure if anyone else has some information but I'm wanting to convert it from Nitro to Electric anything on the market to help me do that?

Thanks for all the advice and help I appreciate it.

Hello and Welcome,

Sounds like possibly the ring and pinion gears at the rear differential.

Unfortunately there is not an electric conversion kit available through OFNA.
You may try RC Monster or Novak.

Thanks for advice I appreciate it. I looked on Novak they discounted the conversion and I haven't check out the other website. I'll check it out but I found the diagram for the conversion through Novak display so I might try to copy it.

Hey Davud S. I've been looking online for a ring and pinion but haven't been very succesful. Here's a link can you tell me if in this kit there are parts that I will need?

If your problem is the ring and pinion you would need:
40021
40002

Take it apart first to confirm.

Here is a link to the Violator manual:

Okay thank you for that info. I'll tear it apart here in a little bit to look at it.

Only reason I was asking about the other kit is just due to the fact I would spend $40+ just for the gears themselves, or I could buy a new differential and save $10.

Well guys I have figured out what the issue is, I'm not sure exactly what its called, but if you look at the disc on the right side it's slight bent causing what it caused.

Wow! The brake discs are hard to bend.
