Hello,
Looking to get my first RC Truggy.
I have drove a friend on mines Truggy a bunch and really liked it.
It a OFNA Jammin CRT Truggy 1/8.
I was trying to find the same thing but seem all the ones I am finding are old ones.
I seen there is a x2 Jammin but it seems it came out last year I think.
http://www.jamminproducts.com/x1crt.htm
This is the link I find for one: http://www.waldorfrc.com/servlet/the-173/OFNA-Jammin-X2-dsh-CRT-1-fdsh-8/Detail
Also seen this one: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=OFN34962
So I would guess the X2 is/was suppose to be the better one but seems Horizon has dropped the Jammin X2's but I can still get a X1x so ya not sure which one is better to go with.
Sorry looks like "Item is discontinued" for the x1x
Also seen this two:
34313 Multilator Power Start RTR w/ .28 Engine
34319 Multilator PRO RTR (C-hub) .32 ENGINE
On OFNA's site they have the 2nd one listed as "Product Not Available"
So does that mean this item has also been Discontinued, I guess.
I was wanting to get the newest/greatest one.
So I wanted to see what others thought would be a good one to get or not get.
I was also looking at a 1/10 Truggy.
Not sure if LOSI is any good either tho.
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0126
It seems nice for a basher which I guess I am.
Just put it on the ground and go, not going to race or anything.
Just want something cool and fast, that is going to last awhile.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time,
Dubie |

The X1 and X2 truggies have been discontinued. Parts are still readily available.
The Mutilator 34319 is available but on backorder at this time.
Hope this helps. |

Its a shame the X2 truggy is no more. I really like the jammin (hong nor) line of vehicles. I wish they would redesign the X2 and come out with a X3. Just update it to the match it up to the specs of other manufactures like a longer wheelbase and wider stance without having to use the offset wheels or hub extenders inorder to use zero offset wheels. Change nothing else though (in my opinion, aside from moving parts around on the chassis for better weight distribution). I like the layout of the hong nor 8th scale buggies and truggies compared to other manufactures. Its a very clean, non cluttered layout.
In my opinion, get a X2 Pro truggy instead of the Multilator. They can be found yet. Parts should be no issue as the Multilator will use the same suspension pieces. The Nexx 8 share many parts with it as well.
Stormer is showing 1 instock for $370. Thats a great price compared to others.

ok I am thinking about getting the ofna 1/8 Jammin X2 Pro Truggy Kit.
Questions:
Which Motor & Electronics should I put in this? "Servo's and stuff"
Like I said kinda new to this so not sure which it will take or which is going to be a great one to get.
Any advice would be appreciated.
I have a motor but for the life of me I can not remember stats or name.
Think it was a .21 that was bored out and hand signed/numbered by the ppl who did it.
Maybe Axe Rossi something something...
Trying to find it to see if I can use it but if not ya need to pick a different one I guess.
Thanks for your time,
Peace |

Coreless is fine.
What do you plan to do with this, race, run on a track for fun or just run it at parks or in your yard?
If racing or just running on a track, what is the track like, does it have long straights or double/tripple jumps that have a small distance from off the corner to the first jump where you need to build speed fast or is it a tight technical layout.
The JP-1 would be good for a track with a tight technical layout whereas the JP-2 would be good if the track has many long straights. The JP-3 sounds like a mix of both so if the track has a little of everything this may be the way to go. It would also be a good choice if you only plan to bash. I wouldn't worry about the JP-4 unless you are planning to race at a track that follows ROAR rules. Most club tracks don't. |

Ya just going to bash around the office parking lot and there is a grass field next door.
No official racing but, will hit the track a bunch just to run it.
I think I would be better off with the JP3 like you said.
Will get a jp1&2 as well maybe in case things change and I start racing... lol
Once you get the itch its hard to ignor. ;)
Was also going to get a Hyper ST Truggy to bash around.
Might use a electric conversion kit on one of them to have both nitro/elec.
But not 100% on that idea yet, will see how things go first I guess.
Going to try this Radio out once released.

I just purchased a tekno conversion kit for my X2 CRT. Very nice kit, but not exactly cheap at $115. Includes a new chassis plate, all the needed hardware and a clutch kit.
Before I used the Tekno kit, I converted my other X2 CRT to brushless using a RCM motor mount and a battery/Esc tray & servo/receiver box from a Ofna LX-1e. No chassis drilling required with the LX-1e pieces.
