Need help! Nitrohouse? Ofna? Anyone driving this buggy anymore? Both company's seem to have deleted this line and this forum board is seriously lacking input! Maybe it's because the racers have moved on to bigger and possibly more inferior machines? But us newbies are still out here trying to support these company's ! So were is all the support?

There is support, in Nitrohouse and here. Look in the archives. Don't pretend to have a thread like the H9 have, why? because the 8.5 time is in the past. It is a great buggy and with the right set up and driving skills can be a good racer. But the H9 as all the new buggy's out are superior machines, new technologies, different chassis layout etc,etc... People move on to be at par with everybody else and stay competitive.

This is from an other thread some one with the same concerns as you:

This is why I would never consider owning a Hyper9.

Just like every other nub, look in the archives here, there is ton of information. Nitrohouse can help you if you email or call them with what ever question you have. The Hyper 9 is an innovative design just like Durango 408, Losi 8ight just to mention a few. Nothing wrong with the Hyper 8.5 it just is not at the same level as the new buggy's, plain and simple. You know what? I'll take you there

Chassis Tuning - http://www.ofna.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3743

I guess you do have more information than the Hyper 9, don't be lazy and search .

Look back in the hyper buggy thread, I bet you will find a lot of information. Open an account in RCTech.net you may have better support from people that used to race this buggy's. Search around you will find answer to all your questions.

Been there done that ! You guys are only supporting the racers ! And what is popular at this moment and it shows! You guys seem to forget you to once were in our shoes as NUBS and it seems these companys would have better moderators to keep this more interesting for the "NUBS" so we can help keep them in business!

Listen, I was feeling the same way when I start, I had an Ultra LX, guess what, the information that I found was limited and at the track was even more frustrated. What I did? I move on, got a buggy that was the must common,LHS support the parts and up to date with the newest buggy's. Yep! I spend a little but I have the support that I need in and out the track. I don't know what exactly your needs but you have a great buggy that can be a lot of fun in the track.

Get a neutral /stock set up. Get the proper tires according to your track. Print out the guide from HUDY and hit the track, tune your buggy to your liking. No matter what buggy brand, any change do the same in any buggy. No every answer to your question is in the forums. And PRACTICE, Practice practice so you can understand the buggy. Beside the H9 the Hyper 8/8.5 have the must support or at least the archives show that.
To finish, there is a lot of 8ight 2.0 in ebay with good prices
