i have a ultra lx one and keep getting smoked by my friends losi truck,can anything be done to make this buggy faster?

street racing go with a two speed trans and street tires.
backyard racing 15 clutch bell 51 spur 50k center diff or torsen center diff and knobby tires.
as long as your force .28 is in tune it should be plenty fast for non track driving.
