|
|
I have a an x1 truggy that has a tuning issue.
I can get it to run fine, but then a day later it wont run. I had a veteran tune it for me last time, same issue, he said the carbs are not worth the trouble and to replace it.
Can anyone recommend a quality replacement that will drop in? Perhaps a composite, as I have heard they hold a tune better. |

| go to the Nitrohouse website and get the O-ring kit for the carb, that will solve the problem. Did you check for air leaks? front bearing is leaking? What engine do you have?. |

Its the stock Force .28 that came on my X1 CRT RTR, is there something more specific?
Is this the O ring kit?

I do not believe there are any leaks anywhere, as I had someone else who really knows what they are doing check everything for me and they were able to get it running fine for a day. Next day, the tune was lost, but it ran great for the one day. |

| If that is the correct kit for that carb? YES. It's way cheaper than a new carb. Does not make sence that is running for a day a next day is not. What about a new glow plug? |

I was picking that kit based on the link you sent, I will need to find the manual and see if there's any specific information in there.
Glow plug was replaced, as was the gas. |

| Put the needles back at flush and start from scratch and tune. Also make sure your idle air gap is around .5mm or so. loose the glow plug a little. check that your igniter is fully charge and the glow plug light up. last if doesn't work dump a little of fuel in it, just to see how the engine react. |

Ugh, finally got it running. Still needs some tuning as it will sometimes just cut out when I let off the throttle. My rotostart 1 way went out too, can those be replaced or do I just replace the entire backplate?
Thanks for the help, any suggestions on the cutting out? |

| Yes you can replace the rotostart. About the cut in off, lean one hr at a time drive it an see how perform, if you see that is gettin better do it till is not do in it any more but if you lean the HSN make sure you rich the LSN and keep a steady idle. Hope you understand what I'm saying. GL |
