| Have a 9.5 with the .32. Having issues keeping it running. Starts up runs alright for a min then cuts off, and then it is a pain to get it restarted. Curious if the wrong glow plug could be the cause? Can post pics and or video. Running 20% nitro fuel any help would be appreciated thanks |

| It sounds like you engines piston and sleeve has gone thru its wear and tear, when the engine heats up it expandes making the fuel pass thru the piston and sleeve without buring and flooding the engine flaming it out, you could lean the idle needle out more but will sound very eratic as the engine continues the heat up they will get you a few more runs. |

| motor still feels really tight when turning by hand. I took it to the hobby shop and they said that i need to adjust the low speed needle, I started to do this but I am waiting on a new servo and fuel tank. Does this not sound like a good solution also? |

1. set up the idle gap at around .5 to .7 mm. it is like the thikness of a credit card. Once this is set no need to touch it any more.
2. LSN and HSN must be flush with the housing.
3. Start the engine, let the engine heats up (blip the throttle every 2 min.or so to clear the pipe and the block) Look for a steady idle adjusting the LSN(low side needle).
4. drive the car around and adjust the HSN (high side needle) as needed.
Note: look for a stream of smoke when running, indicates that the engine is running with a proper lubrication. If you adjust the HSN make sure to adjust the LSN. If you LEAN the HSN you need to rich the LSN( no necesary but pay attention to the idle, steady idle). The LSN will not affect the HSN, but the HSN will affect the LSN if is adjusted.
If this does not help, make sure you dont have any leaks in the back plate, cooling head, carb. make sure everything is tight. A good clean air filter with proper lubricants. A new glow plug and replace the exhaust gasket. Hope this help. |
