The pull start broke on my motor, so my plan is to remove the pull start and just use my starter box . when i took out the pull start theirs this little shaft that goes into the motor that spins the motor.
now do i take this shaft out or leave it there. But if i leave it there theirs noting to hold it in place.

Remove pullstart axle and backplate. Replace it with part#51537
Use this backplate when you eliminate the pullstart assembly.
