| We are setting up a spec class allowing both the DM-1 and the DM-1spec to run togeher as they are basically the same car with different wheel bases. My question is regarding brakes. Ofna offers several brake set-ups for the Ultra, DM-1, and DM-1spec. I know the Ultra brake disks need slight modification to fit the DM-1 tranny. The Ultra offers a fiber disk and a carbon disk with metal pads, and a drilled steel disk with fiber pads. The DM-1 offers dual slotted steel disks with fiber pads. And the DM-1spec offers a single fiber disk with metal pads. So here is my question, which disk/pad combination works best? I am also aware that a stronger servo is recomended and already plan on installing one. But I have heard of brake fade as well as burning of the fiber disks, so any advice would help. |
