|
|
Hey Folks,
I need a new spur gear for my center spider diff ... the Hyper ST Pro manual lists the part number as Hohao # 86231 ... but, there is not a cross reference for that number to an Ofna number.
The manual actually lists the center spur as part Hobao # 86225 with references Ofna # 27225 but, that is a 4 screw spur gear where as the spider spur gear is 6 screw. |

Did you drop a spider diff in there because I dont believe the ST came with a spider. At least mine didnt and the Exploded View I see on Nitrohouse doesnt show it having a spider diff either.
So if you did drop one in there. You might want to find out what car that came out of or just look here for spider diff spur gears. |

| Nope, didn't drop a spider diff from a different vehicle in it. My Hyper ST Pro came with a spider center diff. BTW, got it new in the box. |

Then hit that second link I have underlined there.
Nitrohouse doesnt have a spider spur listed as a stock replacement part for the ST.
Hell,Ofna nor Nitro have it listed as for sale now either. |

You could call nitrohouse and talk to them they could get you one I sure but if I was you it would be a great time to get a new diff Jamman case and kyosho lightweight spur gear.
Thats what I would do. |

Hey smith,
I really appreciate your help ... I should do this but, adding all the parts up exceed the cost of a complete spider diff with spur gear off of flea bay.
I got almost 2 years worth of racing from the original ... I expect I will be replacling the Hyper ST in the near future so, pull the trigger on the flea bay replacement. |

You bet, the Hyper ST is a GREAT truggy and I will probably retire mine as a wore out shelf queen. But, that is not the immediate future. I will continue to race mine until Ofna comes out with it's replacement.
I have been looking at the Jammin X2 ... but, not yet |

The ST Pro in australia came with a center Spider diff too. Looks the same as the Hyper 8 spider diffs, but with a different crown wheel of course. Not sure if the internal gears are the same or not, I'll have a nosey when I strip it down later this week (the ST that is).
Another good day with the beast yesterday (Sunday), 4th overall out of 17 truggy entries! |
