Ok I'm considering getting one of these and wonder what engine is everyone putting in there in terms of size?
Would a .21 engine be sufficient enough to power this car or is it only .28 engines?
Speed wise how does it compare to its slight smaller counter part 8th scale? |

All of the Ofna and Nitrohouse guys are running the Picco P9 on-road racing engines, with the Ofna 086 pipe. Some are switching pipes, but the engine must be the same. We are running it like a spec class...
Another local put a Ninja buggy engine in his and he is very pleased... |

.28 would be great for smaller tracks for more bottom end, but for larger tracks the .21 would be best. Look for a Novarossi 35plus21 tuned engine. |

| After seeing a C6BBT with matching pipe in a DM-1, I will have to change my opinion on engine choice from novarossi 35+21 to the C6BBT w/ 2045 pipe. Its a little pricey but sometimes its worth it. |

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this engine .28RR spec 1
I know this sounds dumb but I am a way new to nitro cars I just bought a DM One and need to find an engine to go into the car. I am not really going to be racing the car or anything like that but I do want it to be fast for the money I am spending on this project. Just for the car and Radio I am at $841.68 So if someone could help me make a decision on the engine for this car I would really appreciate it..
P.S. as long as I don't go to much over $1000.00 I don't care what the cost of the engine as long as its a good one.. thanks very much |

| The Axial .28 RR Series 1 motrs are fantastic. I run a .28 R Series 1 in my Latemodel and have loads of power and they aren't too pricey either. Take the time to break it in per the manual and use the factory settings. It will take a while, probably 7 - 9 tanks. Idle the first 1 or 2 then start in small figure 8's and as the heat in the engine stabilizes around 225 start leaning itout while maintaining temperature. DON'T GO BELOW 2-1/2 TURNS FROM BOTTOM on this engine. By the way, this engine does like to run a little fat on the settings and without the carb inserts. |

Hello guys I'm fairly new to the forum and would like some advice on engines.
From what I can see the Picco engine, P3, P9, not sure which
the OS engine and the RC C6BBT are the favorites.
I am looking for my new OFna DM1 Pro. I have the RTR but want to change the engine. Which engine and will it just swap right in?
Thanks Jim |
