Hi,
I have been making and testing carbon fiber chassis fore 1:8 scale buggy in
2 years now.
It's approx. 4 mm and its reduction weight is about 80-120 grams, depending on which car model - and its practically unbreakable and the wear is minimum.
I'v been driving with the same carbon plate over a year now.

Carbon plates that have been tested so far:
Jammin X1 buggy.
Jammin X2 buggy.
Cen Matrix C1 buggy.
Kyosho 7.5 buggy.

Regards

KFactory did something along those lines with a mugen mbx 5 chassis. It wasn't the best idea. People were saying how they were bending parts, dog bones, and the chassis actually had to much flex.

Yours is a little different.

Good luck with it though.
