I like the darker blue of the Associated! Plus , I already installed them! LOL! I move fast!
Do you think it would be alright if I started my own post with a little better layout of my pics and mods?
Also, did you see the pic I edited in to my last post? |

Haha yea I actually like & prefer the darker color of blue,..the lock nuts I have which are the ofna ones, they are that lighter color blue, but it's what I have, so gotta use what I got
I don't care,.. you can do what ever, although I really don't see why??..that's why this thread was created by Nitrohouse/Rob B. Why not just just post the pics here

Mostly, to layout pictures with better descriptions. Plus, I am not done yet and i would like to group everything together so it's easier to edit and keep track of! Also I got laid-off and have some free time on my hands to make it look pretty! lol! I do construction!
It's just something than ran through my head while I was under my mom's Corvette changing her hydraulic clutch system. It was so frustrating, I had to think of something else. The thing rides like 5inches off the ground and even though all four corners were blocked up it was still a tight spot! |

| I like the shape of the blue washers you used for the screw heads! Too bad they won't fit the titanium screws is used! |

I dunno what to say.
I will say that the GRP "Tuned" .21 will most likely be my next choice of engine. From what I've seen & heard from couple of friends, I'm convinced, I think the GRP is a great engine, regardless.... |

| I run GRP engines now and I don't plan on switching! I think their awesome engines, I would recommend them to anyone! |

Here's an update on my 8.5 project!
I got the Mugen MBX6 body today, and actually got it to fit!
I had to bring the side guards in a few more millimeters and shave the leading edge of the splash guard down about 1mm.
Unfortunately, I misjudged the engine cut out and a I should have cut the sides along the edge of the mold instead of the cut-line.
The good thing is that I got it to work and I at least know what I have to do for the next one.
I also have a templet to work with for the front end cuts and the body post holes.
I am going to go spray bomb this one white since it will only be a practice body!

The "spray bomb" came out a lot worse than I thougth it would!
Only I, could screw up an all white paint job! It was going good
until I added the tint. Oh well, it's just a beater! The next one will be cut better. I never thought an 8.5 could look so skinny!

HyperGRP that is really nice work! I don't know about others, but I really appreciate the model end of RC as well as racing end. That means I probably more drawn to someones creation than to the latest and greatest from a box. Not to say the latest and greatest is not cool, because it is.
When I get more time to look over your stuff, I'll probably post more. I have been covered up with work. Its pretty bad when you can not even work on your own
Either way, very nice job!!! |
