| I believe it depends on the material of the brake pads being used. Fiber Disc is used with the all metal pads and the all metal disc are used with the Composite brake pads |

| i prefer the fibre disc brake pads over the metal disc my orignal hyper 9 had a fade issue in long mains ,switched to the fibre disc and no issue at all since then ,btw i use the JR 9100t servo for brakes |

I prefer the Jammin fiberglass brake discs with metal calipers. I double up on the outside brake plate to help eliminate bowing. A trick I've used for years, and of course using springs in between the brake plates to reduce the disc drag during acceleration.
I found both setup will have some brake fade. It's caused by wear. The metal discs seem to fade a bit more, due to the brake pad wearing surface being smaller than the fiberglass disc's wearing surface.
The other advantage, and it's a pretty big one, is that the fiber brake disc's are much lighter, so the driveline can spool up, and slow down quicker, which means the buggy/truggy will accelerate faster, and stop/slow down in a shorter distance.
