The GT, Worlds, LX, MBX and GTP share many interchangable components, that would include the 2 speeds however I would NOT suggest a 2 speed for off road racing (illegal) and/or bashing.
2 speeds require frequent inspections and/or far more maint as compared to a single speed tranny.
2 speeds are designed to improve bottom end accelleration,
NOT top end speed. |

| Personaly if your looking for speed I would either buy high rpm high end motor (second choice) or a 28 0r 30 size motor with more torque and horsepower, and an 18 or 20 t clutch bell, some of the larger motors have almost 4 hp!!! |

I'll tell ya, I upgraded to a axial .28 and I went to a 17 tooth clutch bell. It never really hit the top end in the dirt and melted the clutch in about 4 tanks. So I cant see a 20 tooth lasting long at all!!
This was with stock springs. I am now trying a 15 tooth with the heaver springs.
Ill let ya know what breaks next
ca
PS that two speed is really starting to look good at $125 |

1. Anything larger than 16 tooth Clutch bell will accellerate clutch wear.
2. The 2 speed comes with PLASTIC SPURS. Once you strip a gear and you will, thats another $40 to replace or $100+ to upgrade to steel (if available).
Been there, done that! I'd suggest you apply the $125.00 you'd spend on a 2 speed towards buying a new engine instead.
Good Luck. |

| Hellz yea go with a LRP Z.28R Spec 3...i have the regular one as opposed to the truggy version with a 16 tooth clutch bell with ceramic bearings and a midrange pipe in my MBX R2 and yeah....it screams like a freak in heat...its almost scary how fast it runs on a long straight like a street...when i had it in my jammin x1 crt it spun the center dif so fast that the crosspins and gears got wedged about 20 degrees from their original spot! i had to dremel the case open and replace it LOL..awesome torque AND top speed on those LRPs |
