Yea I know. I got the Ravager because it was cheap and I wanted to race for fun. But then I started winning and beating people with much better buggies. I was leading by 1 lap at the RC X Games with 1:00 to go in the A main and my engine blew up. So I needed a new engine.
I'm not saying that the Ravager is comparable to other race buggies, but it works for me and I don't see the need to spend another $500 (+ upgrades) for another buggy as long as this one is working.
It is a lot of fun beating people with a cheap buggy when you know they've spend over $1000 on theirs before it ever hits the track. |

I spent about $650 for my Hyper 8 to be "race ready"
My Ravager I spent a lot more on up grades than $650 to be "race ready" |

Just looking at older threads.... and trying to make the ravager's section a little bit more alive than 1 post per 2-3 weeks
I'm now running an Axial .28 spec 1s in my ravager.
Got a lot of torque and looks good
..... and I got it at 130$ (canadian) at my LHS.
I just rebuild and broke in my Force .28 as my spare engine.
Thinking of buying a JP-3 pipe (I still have the stock one) |

I just bought a team infinity samurai .21 5 port from a guy I moderate a forum for and he is porting it for free. Got it for $139AUD BARGIN!!! brand new to. he said its not to far behind a OX v spec or his ninja he is running in his so will love to see how it goes
I did put my HPI .28 in the ravager it goes very good alround lacks a little top end but I was comparing it to a ported VX .21. The sh .28 p6 is in the savage and wheel stands just befor hitting 2nd gear and I put 40 series tyres on it without changing the gearing its a machine |
