I am going to order a LD-3 on Tuesday. Nitro House has what looks like a really deal on the LD3 with auto start, two speed and fail safe. The only reason I am going to get it is that the rain is keeping my buggys and truck on the shelf. I have a very large shop where I can run a "on road" vehicle. Are there anythings I should upgrade from the get go? Mainly parts that tend to brake.

The LD3 is in general a fairly durable car. I have found the rear axles, stock wheels, exhaust stinger, and bellcranks weak spots, but you should be fine if you don't sideswipe anything like I did :) Also my electric start didn't work, and the stock engine is the cheapest of any car engine on the market.

So to answer your question: you don't NEED to get anything.
